Executive Mission to the TwinLab of Angola

After a stopover in Namibia, for a similar official mission from the 6th to the 9th of June 2018, the Executive Coordinator of the UNESCO Chair Life on Land made its first visit to the TwinLab of CIBIO based at the Superior Institute of Educational Sciences (ISCED-Huíla) from 10 to 14 June 2018.

In this specific mission Carlos Almeida Pereira (CAP) had the opportunity to establish the first contacts with the academic persons responsible for this collaborative partnership, namely the Coordinator of the TwinLab of Lubango (Prof Fernanda Lages) and some local researchers.

Besides the meetings with the Coordinator of the TwinLab and with the General-Director of ISCED, Prof José Luís Alexandre, CAP also met with the Local Authorities, namely the Vice-Governor of the Province of Huíla, Prof Maria João Chipalavela, and her political staff, in a session with the participation of several local academic entities.
