Technical Mission to Lubango

A team of Portuguese specialists in the fields of engineering, architecture, topography and museology from the University of Porto conducted a technical mission in the city of Lubango, from the 3rd to the 7th of October 2018, to perform a topographic survey and a structural analysis study in the former Railway Station. In the context of a project integrated in the action plan of the UNESCO Chair Life on Land, the rationale is to rehabilitate the building to become a future Museum / Centre of Science for Development.



Taking advantage of the stay in the city, several meetings were conducted with the provincial authorities and the responsible persons of the Railway Company (CFM), as well as with the coordinators of the TwinLab of Lubango.
